We began our stack of verb conjugation cards with forty verbs from the text. The card include the infinitive and its translation. We also included any grammatical idiosyncrasies: irregular yo form; stem-changes; irregular in most forms,etc. Bring six more for next class to include hacer/poner/salir/ver/traer.

We completed a second set of exercises that required discrimination of information in the dictionary. Although we worked in groups, this exercise was more difficult than the previous class and required more analysis. It was collected and is worth ten points.

We began a two day lesson on using a Spanish-English dictionary: the symbols for the different parts of speech; how to read the lists of idiomatic expressions; and how to determine which of the listed translations is appropriate in context. We completed and discussed a worksheet with exercises over the more basic information. This isn't as easy as it sounds!
